PM 15：00スナックタイム

The school cafeteria is filled with a cacophony　of　delighted voices at three o’clock each afternoon. Teachers and students from all classes mix and carry on conversations. While of course students are free to bring food from home, the school also provides a scrumptious, well-balanced snack for 105 yen per day.

みんなが楽しみにしているスナックタイムの時間です。スクールカフェからは、子ども達の楽しそうな声が聞こえます。他のクラスの友人や先生も合流して、英語での会話が弾みます。スナックはご自宅でご用意していただいても、スクールでご注文（105円）していただいても結構です。

PM 15：20集中英会話と英語表現のレッスン

Speaking English isn’t just about using correct grammar and verb tenses but being able to express yourself clearly and easily. During this period students will be able to play word games and broaden their mind through guided discussion.

英語を使って会話をするときにはただしゃべれることだけでなく、より的確に話をすることも必要なことです。同じ英語の意味であっても様々な言い方ができるように、ゲームなどを交えて子ども達の能力を広げていきます。

PM 16：00ダンス・クッキング・第二外国語（フランス語・アラビア語）

Students enjoy a great variety of unorthodox academic activities in addition to traditional classroom instruction. Their dance teacher is a qualified, US-trained modern dancer, and the their cooking instructor is a US-born English native? as they’re both comfortable and natural English speakers students can have an immersive experience even as students move and refine their control over their bodies.Other great learning possibilities include the chance to study Arabic and French twice a week with experienced, native teachers, ensuring proper pronunciation and a great time.

スクールでは英語や算数などの学習以外にもたくさんの体験ができます。ダンスインストラクターによる、本格的なダンスレッスンや、アメリカ人シェフによるクッキングクラスなど、それぞれもちろん英語で行います。第二外国語として、フランス語・アラビア語も取り入れていますので、子供たちはそれぞれ本場ネイティブの先生より正しい発音を学ぶことができます。

PM 17：00ホームワーク

Students will be supported through any trouble spots or weaknesses exposed by the independent practice assigned by their teachers at Star Brains.　Confusion about outside homework and questions posed by material encountered elsewhere will also be soothed and answered by our competent staff.

わからないところは先生がサポートしながら、スターブレインズからその日に出た宿題と、日中通っている学校の英語の宿題もこの時間に終わらせることができます。苦手な箇所のあるお子様は、他のワークをお渡しすることもあります

PM 17：40右脳ゲーム

Students can freely utilize all of our materials for fun right brain learning and receive instruction in slightly more complicated games like chess if they so　desire. We have created this period for them to relax and wind-down after their long day.

右脳を刺激する玩具やゲーム（チェスなど）を使って、ゆったりと先生と最後の時間を楽しみます。

PM 18:00 Returning Home

It’s time to go home after a full day at school. Students prepare their own bags and try not to forget the things they need. When it’s time to go home, teachers will bring the students down to the first floor entrance to wait for their parents to come and pick them up.

長いようであっという間の一日が終わります。自分でスクールバッグを準備して忘れ物のないよう帰っていきます。お帰りの際は先生が１階の正面玄関までお子様をお連れしますので、お車でお越しの際は、１階でお待ちください。

AM 9：00　登園

Well, let’s begin! Students have their chance to greet their teachers in theirnative languages. “Good morning!” “Bonjour!” “Salam wa aleikum!” “Ohayo gozaimasu!”　Bright classrooms breed bright attitudes, and amidst colorful furniture and foreign-language posters, students set out to begin their day.

さあ、一日のはじまりです。”Good morning!”, Bonjour!’ “Salam wa aleikum!”　
英語、フランス語、アラビア語で先生とご挨拶です。インターナショナルスクールならではの、色鮮やかなクラスルームといろいろな言葉で書かれたポスターや子供たちが描いた絵が、気持ちを盛り上げてくれます。

AM 9：10　朝のご挨拶、新聞意見交換

After everyone has put their things away and greeted their teachers and classmates, students settle down to discuss the day’s paper. Teachers distill complicated world events into language appropriate for their students’ level. It’s a chance to learn about world culture and events as much as it is a chance to learn new vocabulary. For many students, this is one of their first and most in-depth looks at how the world works, from governments and taxes to the basics of international relations.

みんなで朝のご挨拶をした後、朝届いた英字新聞の中から興味のある記事について話し合います。世界中の難しい事も先生がわかりやすく話をしてくれます。新聞を読むことで社会や外国のことを理解して、より英語や異文化への興味も広がります。

AM 9：20　右脳開発プログラム

Flash card time! The extensive and varied flashcard sets are the lifeblood of our right-brain program. Students can absorb information on topics ranging from English vocabulary and phrases to math and Japanese history.

フラッシュカードを使った右脳トレーニングの時間です。英語単語や表現、算数の足し算、引き算、掛け算やJapanese Historyなど！いろんな単語や表現がでてきます。何回も繰り返し絵で見て、耳で聞くので自然に覚えることができ、記憶力もＵＰ！

AM 10：00リーディング＆リスニング

During this time, classes study reading and listening comprehension. Students strive to comprehend written English in the same manner as native speakers, and some of our hardest working students have even received certifications such as the Eiken level 2, a distinction usually gained by high school or college students. Students can also take advantage of the schools brand-new, beautifully furnished library.

英検の準会場として早期に一般英語検定を受験する力を指導しています。英検ではリーディングとリスニングが不可欠となります。正確なネイティブイングリッシュを、日常会話にあわせた速いリスニングスピードで学習します。従来は高校生や大学生が受験するような準2級もお子様のレベルに合わせてチャレンジしていけます。また今年新しく開設したスクールライブラリーを利用して読書習慣をつけていくようにしています。

AM 10：20　お外遊び

On days when the weather is good, students precede to the park a five-minute walk away and run and play as they please. This is, of course, one of the most popular class periods!

天気の良い日はスクールから歩いて５分の公園に行きます。子ども達は外遊びが大好き！遊具に乗ってグルグル回ったり、お砂の感触を楽しんだり、しっかり遊んで頭をリフレッシュさせます。

AM 11：00　外国語（フランス語・アラビア語）

This lesson period is reserved for the study of French and Arabic. Not only are students able to benefit from the attentions of experienced, native teachers but as these teachers are part of the permanent in-house staff, there are ample opportunities to practice their skills through-out the day.

週替わりでフランス語とアラビア語を学びます。教材も先生も本場ネイティブより学ぶことができます。外国語の授業でなくても、スクール内では先生とフランス語やアラビア語に触れる機会はたくさんあるので、学んだことを実践できる環境です。

AM 11：30　英語算数

Students enjoy their daily ration of exciting, fast-paced math study! They have the opportunity to learn a diverse array of skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as logic and word problems. The skills they learn are interdisciplinary, and they are eager to apply them in context.

学年に合わせて英語での算数を行います。（足し算・引き算・掛け算・割り算・筆算・分数・文章題など）ナーサリーよりそろばんに親しみ、キンダーでは自分のそろばんを持って練習をしたり、英語での文章題問題を解くなど、算数のレッスンでも英語の応用が生かされています。

PM 12：05　ランチ

As an alternative to lunches painstakingly prepared at home, there are three excellent school lunches available daily; anti-allergy, vegetarian, and another course of foods chosen, although not without thought to their nutritional merit, without any particular restrictions to content. Kinder students enjoy the luxury of an open-seating plan in the cafeteria, and many students find that this one of their most important opportunities to socialize.

ご自宅で用意していただいたお弁当の他、スクールランチは、普通食・アレルギー食・ベジタリアン食の3種類の中から選べます。キンダ―・ジュニアクラスは、スクール内のカフェテリアで賑やかに食べるのが子ども達の楽しみです。クラスのお友達だけでなく、年齢も国籍も様々な仲間が集まり、新しいお友達を作る楽しみの場でもあります。

PM 12：45　ヨガと瞑想

Proceeding lunch is time reserved for yoga and meditation in the downstairs gym. With the lights dimmed and quiet music playing, students sit with their backs straight and their eyes closed and search for the calm and poise that will help them concentrate in their lessons later in the afternoon.

スクール地下にある、トレーニングジムでヨガの時間です。みんなで穏やかな音楽を聴きながら円になったり、寝転んだり。心を落ち着かせて、午後の授業を頑張ります。

PM 13：05　フォニックス＆スペリング

Phonics is one of the most important components of English study. A through phonetic education will allow students to read fluently and independently, and when this is possible they will have the opportunity to learn a great many things themselves through reading. Once students read well, teachers begin to focus on increasing their speed and accuracy in spelling words.

英語を学ぶ上でフォニックスの理解は大切な学習です。フォニックスを取得することで読むことができ、自分だけの力で学習することができるようになります。また読めることで更に英語学習への理解が深まり、学ぶスピードが速くなります。

PM 14：00　アート

After the intensive phonics and spelling class, there is an opportunity for students to express themselves. Students can have time to think quietly, work creatively, and create their own arts and crafts. Image Art is a special program focusing on the students’ ability to mentally visualize scenes and set them to paper?the teacher will explain a set in various levels of detail, and leave the students to make it into a work of art without further guidance.

フォニックスとスペリングで集中した後は、自分を表現する時間です。みんな思い思いにお絵かきをしたり、粘土や切り貼り、クラフトで想像を膨らませます。新しく取り入れたイメージアートの時間では、先生の説明を聞きながら自分でイメージを膨らませて絵を仕上げていきます。どんな絵が最後に出来上がるかお楽しみです。

PM 15：00　スナックタイム

Snack time is a universal pleasure. In the school cafeteria, students from different classes can mix with each other and their teachers and participate in conversations in French and Arabic as well as English. Students may choose either to bring their own snack or buy one daily from the school for the price of 105 yen.

みんなが大好きなスナックタイムでブレイクを取ります。スクールのカフェテリアでは、他のクラスの先生とも会話がはずんで、英語だけでなくフランス語・アラビア語が飛び交っています。スナックは好きなものを持ってきてもいいし、スクールでスナックをオーダー（105円）をすることもできるので安心です。

PM 15：20　クッキング

The cooking class takes place in the school kitchen. Students wearing personalized school cooking costumes try their very best to produce wonderful foods. Recipes change from week to week, but feature a monthly theme, most commonly a specific fruit, vegetable, or spice. Due to the nationality and training of one of their instructors, French cuisine is a recurring theme, but despite its apparent sophistication our students eat it up!

スクールキッチンでは、クッキングティーチャーによるお料理のクラスです。子ども達もスターブレインズのロゴの入ったクッキングコスチュームを着て、小さなシェフになりきって一生懸命食材を切ったり、生地をこねたり生き生きとしています。レシピは毎回季節の食べ物や行事にあわせて変わりますので、時にはフランス伝統のお料理にもチャレンジ！

PM 16：10　ダンス

Dance classes are taught downstairs in the school’s gym by a qualified street dance instructor. Lessons are of course in English! Moving their bodies and listening to the beat, students can absorb the language quickly and seamlessly. We sincerely hope that parents will enjoy the children’s annual dance presentations at school events.

スクール専用のジムで、ダンスインストラクターによるストリートダンスです。ダンス中もちろん英語！基本の柔軟から、ダンスの振り付けまで、しっかりと学んでいきます。年に数回スクールイベントでの発表に向けて、みんな日々頑張っています。

PM 17：00　日本語

Japanese language classes are another important part of the school’s curriculum. Over the course of a year, students will learn hiragana, katakana and kanji through flashcards and practical exams.

英語だけでなく、日本語をしっかり学ぶことも大事です。学年に合わせた日本語のレベルで、ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字から、フラッシュカード、日本語算数まで学べます。

ESLクラス- 基礎英会話のクラスです。まだまだ基礎的な英語力の補助が必要なお子様を対象に参加していただけます。

(*2) Communication classes, rather than being a purely academic discipline, teach self awareness and encourage personal development. Students learn how to smooth out differences between friends, become better and more empathic listeners, and understand body language.

コミュニケーションスタディ- 勉強面だけでなく、内面的なコミュニケーション能力を高めるために、お友達との関わり方や、自分自身を見つめ、良いリーダーとなっていくための学習をしています。
